Our purpose
People use our pages to make decisions about buying, selling and valuing gold and silver. That is why accuracy and honesty come before speed or traffic.
How we research
- Our Pakistan gold and silver rates come from the local sarafa (bullion) market.
- Guides are based on reliable references, such as standard weights, purity fractions and published market conventions.
- We explain how each number is calculated. See how we update prices.
How we check
- We double-check calculations, such as karat purity, tola conversions and worked examples.
- We compare rates against another source before publishing them.
- Every rate shows the date it was captured, and guides show when they were last reviewed.
Who writes and reviews
Our content is written by named authors, such as Tahir Subhani. Where a page covers a sensitive topic, such as zakat, we say so and advise readers to ask a qualified scholar.
Independence and advertising
Advertisers, sponsors and partners cannot pay to change our rates, our wording or our conclusions. Any sponsored content is labelled clearly and kept separate from our rates.
What we do not do
- We do not give financial, investment, legal or religious advice.
- We do not present indicative rates as offers to buy or sell.
- We do not hide or backdate changes. See our Disclaimer.
Corrections
If you think a rate, calculation or statement is wrong, please tell us through our Contact page. Include the page, what you saw and where you saw a different figure.
We check every report against the market. If we agree, we correct the page as soon as we can and note the date of the change. If we do not agree, we will explain why.
