Our mission
Gold is one of the biggest purchases many families make. Our mission is to give you clear, current and honest information, so you can buy, sell or value gold with confidence.
What we do

- Simple guides. How tola, masha and karat work, how a jewellery price is built, and the basics of zakat on gold.
- Gold prices across Asia. Country pages are being added, starting with our neighbours and biggest gold markets.
Where our numbers come from
Our Pakistan rates follow the Sarafa Bazar bullion benchmark. We start with the 24K rate per tola. We then work out 22K, 21K and 18K by multiplying it by 22/24, 21/24 and 18/24. We convert units using 1 tola = 11.6638 grams.
Every rate shows the date it was captured, so you always know how fresh it is. Jewellery bills also include making charges, which the benchmark does not, so your final price at a shop will be higher than the metal price.
